- Once the ScanMaster program is installed, we will have to configure it properly. Logically for each version of ELM327 will be configured in a different way.

ELM327 USB version

- To do this we will set the type of interface "Serial (RS232 or Virtual COM Port Driver), leaving the port in autodetect mode.

- If you don't know which communication protocol is used by the ECU of the vehicle it's advisable to leave it in automatic mode. However, it's always better if it can be specified, this information can be obtained from the database of compatible vehicles..

- Once configured properly, it is only necessary to press the connect button and wait for the program to communicate correctly with the ELM327 device and this with the vehicle ECU. In the report of the screen will indicate to us all the steps that carries out.

ELM327 Bluetooth version
